Our teacher is Mrs Wilson, and our teaching assistants are Mrs Lovely, Miss Robinson and Mrs Storey.

All the adults in year 5 are excited about the year to come! Between the four of us, we have a breath of knowledge to share with the children.

In English, we will visit various genres, learning new vocabulary and knowledge along the way. Looking at both fact and fiction texts and developing our writing further.

In Science, we will study a broad curriculum looking at the areas of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. We will be starting with forces, moving onto space, reproduction and finally, reversible and irreversible changes.

In Design and Technology, we will work on several projects throughout the year. We will be sewing toys, making bird boxes and developing our cooking skills whilst making Bolognese.

We will be focusing on two periods, the Industrial Revolution and The Mayas in History.

It’s going to be a busy but fun year!
