Our teacher is Mr Brown and our teaching assistants are Mrs Wisdom, Mrs Birkett, Mrs Aisthorpe and Mrs Young.

We have a lot to look forward to and will learn so much throughout the year, so here is a ‘snippet’ of the year ahead.

In English, we will be reading a range of fantastic books, which include:  Fly Me Home by Polly Ho – Yen and The Arrival by Shaun Tan. We will use wonderful texts to help us improve our reading and writing throughout the year.

In Design Technology we will learn a wide range of skills to construct games using wood and also produce some wonderful food in our food - tech units.

Mr Groves will share the art teaching this year and, with his expertise, we will all develop a wide range of skills using paints, pencils and other media to produce sculptures.

PE will be twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and, as it is Mr Brown’s favourite subject, it will be lots of fun and full of energetic activities. All our lessons will develop skills which we can then learn to use and adapt to in game situations (including football, hockey and basketball).

Geography lessons will teach us about the world we live in and include a brilliant unit learning about our local area. In History, we will learn about events from the history of the past, including The Ancient Greeks and how WW2 had an impact on the people of Britain.

We will also continue with all the other subjects such as Maths, Music, PSHE and Modern Foreign Languages and can’t wait to get started.

For our parents/carers, there will be several opportunities throughout the year to come in and pay us a visit.  We look forward to seeing you all at some point in the near future.
