House Teams
When children arrive at Benjamin Adlard, they are allocated a House Team. These are named after the four countries in the United Kingdom: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Every half term, children in KS1 and KS2 represent their house team and compete in different sporting activities against their peers. They are asked to follow one of the six school games values when competing: passion, self-belief, respect, honesty, determination and teamwork.
Team Captains
Each team is represented by a Captain (a class teacher), and a Vice Captain (a teaching assistant). Our current Teams Captains are:
House Team | Captain | Vice-Captain |
---|---|---|
England | Miss Royston-German | Mrs Storey |
Scotland | Miss Gray | Miss Wisdom |
Wales | Mrs Wilson | Mrs Lovely |
Northern Ireland | Mr Brown | Mrs Farrow |
Earning team points
Children earn team points as a reward. At the end of each week, the house team with the highest number of team points is presented with the House trophy during our Friday celebration assembly. The pupils in the house team with the highest amount of team points at the end of each term receive a treat.
