Design & Technology
We believe that teaching pupils lifelong skills of how to craft and make things for themselves, as well as how to cook a balanced, healthy diet, will help to prepare them for life after school.
This belief drives our Design & Technology curriculum. It is an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject, where children develop their skills through ‘hands on’ tasks/projects that involve food technology, textiles, mechanisms, electricity, structures and materials.
Learning how to cook starts in Key Stage 1, and enables pupils to feed themselves and others affordably and well, now and in later life.
Pupils also have the opportunity to use our fantastic outdoor Forest School and a range of tools and materials to make quality products for themselves.
